About Us

Welcome to Revive Family and Wellness! My name is Courtney Boyd and I currently reside in Chicago, IL with my husband and daughter. I am originally from Jacksonville, Florida. My husband is from Dallas, Texas. I moved to Chicago to finish my undergraduate degree in Urban Ministry with an Interdisciplinary in Ministry to victims of sexual exploitation. I am currently studying to become a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. During the last two years, I recognized how alone I felt as a parent:

• Not having family up close by and having a child at the very beginning of the pandemic
• Healing from a traumatic birth
• Trying to break family patterns
• Parenting differently than anyone we knew
• School and work full time
• Postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety.

I really needed a village and it was hard not having one. My daughter did not meet her first blood relative until she was eight months old. I thought maybe it was just me, but as I started to look around, I saw so many friends or acquaintances who seemed to mirror my experiences. No one had a full village. Even with one or two support people, members of the village were missing in their lives. I hated that for myself and for the families around me. I decided to launch this business after connecting with a number of moms, caregivers, and community organizations over this past year. I care deeply about advocating for women’s rights in their birth and pregnancy journeys, encouraging a different option to traditional parenting methods, promoting healthy marriages and families, and finding healthier ways to engage with self, family, and community. If you follow me on social media, then you know that I spent most of my time talking about these topics already. This burning passion kept growing to really get active and do something about the things I was seeing. Here we are! This is my commitment to be a part of the village we all talk about but only few truly experienced.
